DESCRIPTION:
APW - Elgin, BW Raymond, Grade 341, 14K original HC with gold cuvette, very attractive case engraving, SW-LS, WE-DSD, lever escapement, 17J, three finger bridge mvt, NI damascene, s#12283804. Gross weight of assembled watch 60.3 dwt (93.8 g). Uncommon movement with a total production of 2000 made, the 341 was the only grade of BW Raymond to be made in a hunting case three finger bridge style.
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, near mint mvt condition overall, oxide spots on click, slight oxide speckle to winding wheels; dial with two outer chapter hls, small fracture to lower left corner of inner chapter, small rust colored stain left of seconds-register hole; case shows hardly any wear, few MFS, dents on band between 10 and 1, excellent engraving detail, front lid of case opening a small bit wide of 90 degrees and with some latch wear causing the lid to occasionally open unintentionally; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
